  Pyrorchis nigricans Red-beaks3.jpg - Pyrorchis nigricans Red-beaks.Flowers early to late October. Grows to 25cm tall with up to 10 flowers per stem. Found in one location so far in the mid West lowlands. As this orchid usually only grows after fire and there was no fire in the reserve, it is thought that the intense heat and smoke from the Black Saturday fires generated this small colony.
